Tips To Look Gorgeous On Your Wedding

Updated: Mar 14, 2022

Every bride aspires to look her best on her wedding day. And why should she not dream of looking fantastic? After all, it is a once-in-a-lifetime event in her life. However, your prime focus is on bridal makeup and wedding attire. But you do not really focus on your internal well-being and your skin’s actual condition.

Though makeup can camouflage your imperfections on the day of the wedding, the truth remains that no makeup can bring 100% radiance. You need to plan your beauty regime and follow it ritually. However, it’s a time taking process but you must spare some time for yourself to look radiant on your special day. Let's dive into some tips to look gorgeous and beautiful as a bride.

Control Your Stress: No makeup can give you a 100% natural luminance if it does not come from within. Most of the time, we see some brides with expensive wedding outfits and jewelry with high-end makeup. Everything is perfect but the radiance is missing.

Do you know who is the main culprit? “Stress”. Yes, you read it right. And it is quite common. You naturally stress yourself during all the arrangements and plannings but this can ultimately affect your skin, hair, even your entire body. So, you shouldn’t take it for granted. It can lead to skin issues as well as body issues which eventually affect your special day.

You need to learn how to control your stress. Do whatever makes you feel relaxed and de-stressed. You can practice yoga and meditation to de-stress yourself. It is a time-consuming process, so start it 6 months prior to your big day.

Exercise Daily: Everyone knows how effective it is to exercise daily. It may seem difficult for some people who are not into exercise or workouts, but trust me, it has a positive impact on your body as well as on your overall well-being. It keeps you active, stress-free, and also promotes healthy hormones in the body. You must do it at least an hour a day, either in the morning or evening, a time which suits your schedule.

The purpose is to achieve an active body and a relaxed mind. You can practice any kind of workout be it yoga, aerobics, Zumba, dancing, gyming, cycling, running, etc. To get the best outcome, start doing it from now on, whether it’s for weddings or not, you must adopt the habit of regular exercise.

Eat Healthily: Though we all know the benefits of eating healthy food, we don’t really follow it religiously. Your skin should look glowy, flawless, and beautiful at your wedding. For that, you must avoid unhealthy habits like smoking, drinking, and junk food. You must focus on green smoothies, vegetable salad, protein salad, juices, detox waters, etc. You can consult a nutritionist for your diet chart. Drink lots and lots of water, as it helps to clean your body’s free radicals and improves your skin texture. You must start eating a healthy diet 5-6 months prior to your wedding.

Consult A Dermatologist: If you are struggling with any skin problems, you should visit a dermatologist to get his help. You should not experiment with new products on your own. You must consult a skin specialist at least a year before your special day. The most common skin issue is acne, which directly affects your confidence level and can make you stressed out for D-Day. You should follow all the skin regimes prescribed by your doctor.

Follow Some Basic Skincare Regime: Following a proper skincare routine is essential to achieving healthy glowing skin. The basic skincare routine includes:

CTM Routine: The term CTM stands for Cleansing, Toning, and Moisturizing. These are common skincare regimes that everybody needs to follow in their daily routine. It helps to open out your pores and remove all the dirt, pollution, and dead skin cells. Every bride must follow these basic steps to prepare her skin even if you are tired. A CTM routine gives better results when one follows before heading to bed.

Exfoliate your skin: Exfoliating your skin once a week is compulsory to remove dead skin caused due to outside heat and pollution. It also helps to eliminate the problem of blackheads/whiteheads.

Nourish your skin: It is always important to moisturize your skin properly. Even though your skin texture is oily, you must apply moisturizer to your skin. It helps to plump your skin and improves your skin’s overall fitness. You must nourish your body as well. Try to apply lotion daily after taking a shower. These steps must be followed 6 months prior to your special day to get smooth, supple, and warm skin.

Thumb rule: No experiments here. Indian weddings with decorated hairdos demand a definite length of hair, so leave the haircut for a later time, say on your honeymoon. So it’s ideal to just trim the split ends, not the length.

A bride should also get some hair treatment for smooth, healthy, and shiny hair. You must get at least two hair spas and a hair massage done once a month.
